Achievements at BBS: Achievements in recent times: It is the responsibility of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) to prepare reliable and up-to-date information for developing country development plans and administrative activities. BBS has been responsible for regularly collecting, compiling and publishing various information for the use of planners, public-private research institutes, international organizations and the public who are involved in the preparation of national and local plans. Recently, National Strategy for the Development of Statistics-NSDS and Statistics Act 20 have been formulated. As a result, the scope of BBS's work has expanded.
